By comparing some current main wireless security technologies, considering the demand from government, public use and enterprise, the thesis brings forward the idea of multi rank, many kinds of authentication and encryption. The thesis also provides the design plan of the security for the routing protocol, application service protocol and SNMP. All of this enhances the wireless network’s security.Wired network being a basis of the wireless network, is one of the important parts of wireless city. The thesis use current built MPLS VPN to realize the governments departments and enterprises VPN. Bring forward the idea of layer design of IP backbone, combined with wireless and wired network. By the performance test and management of the wireless network, can easily get the result of the network communication’s connectivity and reliability.The following aspects contain the creative meanings of the thesis:1) The thesis analyzes the characteristic of the technology points of the wireless city thoroughly, brings forward the idea of combining various wireless technologies, and builds the design model of wireless city.2) Design and realize the wireless city. Based on the wired MPLS VPN in the design, use Wi-Fi, Mesh as the access means, combined with WiMax and wireless bridge techniques to connect all the distributed wireless communities. Then there comes a seamless net. Thus can resole the question of seamed coverage of the wireless city.3) The design has become an operable one and has been applied successfully in some regions.
